Controls

Player 1: WASD for charging roll. E for charging salt throw.

Player 2: Arrow keys for charging roll. [ / ? ] key for charging salt throw.

Both players: [Ctrl] to advance round. [Space] to reset the game.

Mechanics

The actions available to the player are:

  1. Begin charging up a roll in a given direction
  2. Release the charge and rush forward a number of tiles based on the amount of charge
  3. Begin charging up a salt throw (an homage to sumo) in all cardinal directions
  4. Release the salt throw to renew damaged or destroyed tiles

When a player charges, if they roll more than one tile, they damage all tiles in their wake.

If a player damages an already damaged tile, it is destroyed.

If a player runs out of momentum on a destroyed tile, they fall through the sky and lose.

If both players fall at the same time, it is a draw.

If the players collide, they exchange their charged up momentum (direction and force).

After a round, destroyed tiles are replaced with damaged tiles.  This makes the arena more vulnerable overall as the rounds progress.
